Online HSC Biology tutoring across Gosford, Erina, Terrigal, Wyong and the wider Central Coast, taught by a current NSW HSC Biology teacher who marks this course every year. In-person places on the Coast open from December.
I'm Kyle James, a current NSW HSC Biology teacher living on the Central Coast, and I tutor Year 11 and Year 12 Biology students from right across the Coast, Gosford, Erina, Terrigal, Avoca Beach, Wyong, Woy Woy and the surrounding suburbs. Sessions run online for now, so there is no travel for either of us, and in-person places open from December when a dedicated teaching space opens.
Biology rewards students who can do two things well: explain a process clearly and link it back to the syllabus dot point being assessed. Most students lose marks not because they don't understand the biology, but because their written responses don't say what the marking guidelines are looking for. Because I mark this course every year, that's exactly what we fix, turning what you know into the words that score Band 6.
Sessions are local and face-to-face, which suits practical-heavy topics, diagram work and depth-study planning. If a Central Coast time doesn't fit, the same tutoring is available online, but if you're nearby, in-person sessions are the easiest way to build momentum through the year.
You do not have to take my word for how I teach. This site carries free Biology lessons for every module of Year 11 and Year 12, with quizzes and practice questions — and they stay free whether or not you book anything.
Tutoring is optional, and it is for when you want sessions built around your own gaps, your school's assessment tasks, and the exam technique markers reward.
Sessions run online for now, so students anywhere on the Coast, Gosford, Erina, Terrigal, Avoca Beach, Wamberal, Wyong, Woy Woy, The Entrance and Tuggerah, and anywhere else in NSW, can attend with no travel. In-person places on the Central Coast open from December 2026.
The full NSW HSC Biology course: Year 11 (Cells, Organisation of Living Things, Biological Diversity, Ecosystem Dynamics) and Year 12 (Heredity, Genetic Change, Infectious Disease, Non-infectious Disease and Disorders), plus depth studies and exam technique.
Yes. A session can be built entirely around an upcoming depth study or assessment task, planning the investigation, analysing data, and structuring extended responses the way HSC markers reward.
One-on-one online tutoring is $100 per hour. No lock-in contract, no joining fee. Small-group classes are priced per program and work out cheaper per hour. There is no charge to enquire. You can also tutor online from anywhere in NSW.
