Question 1

An empty cold sealed bottle develops droplets. Does this observation support a claim that all external water leaked from inside? Explain.

Question 2

A leaf colour is scored from memory the next day. State two improvements.

Question 3

Write a testable question about droplet formation.

Teacher answer key — 3 questions

Model responses identify the essential ideas. Accept scientifically correct alternatives that address the question; wording need not match exactly.

  1. No. Droplets appear when there is no liquid water inside to leak. This supports investigation of an external source, but is not by itself a complete measurement of condensation.
  2. Record it at the observation time and use a defined colour reference or standardised photograph. Keep lighting comparable.
  3. Accept a specified temperature or surface-material comparison with a defined count or collected mass after a fixed interval.
