Health for Individuals and Communities

What health means and how it is measured, what health looks like for young people in Australia, the key issues that affect it and the skills that protect it, and the ways individuals, organisations and communities work to promote and improve health.

Syllabus note: Health and Movement Science 11–12 (2023). Outcomes HM-11-01 and HM-11-02, with the skills outcomes HM-11-05 to HM-11-10 applied throughout. The depth studies draw 20 hours of in-class time from this focus area and Focus Area 2 combined, so the lesson sequence is written against less than the full 40 hours.
